Your Shot Runner-Up: Flamingo fly-past in Namibia

One of our favourite entries in our ‘Your Shot’ photo competition, captured on Walvis Bay, Namibia.

We were on a morning cruise on Walvis Bay near Swakopmund in Namibia.

We had been cruising around watching the wildlife and the wading flamingoes when some of them decided to do a flypast – well up went the camera with the zoom lens trying to get the best shot…

The camera was hand held and was taken from a moving boat, making it all the more difficult to get a clear shot.

Camera settings were f/9, exposure 1/1250, ISO 500 at 400mm zoom.
