It’s official, in February 2015 Club Med will open what they call their “most remarkable resort to date”.
This magical nirvana will go by the name Finolhu Villas, made up of 52 overwater eco-villas on their very own island in the Maldives – a long-time favourite amongst honeymooners. And rightly so.
Surrounded by pristine turquoise waters and untouched island shores, guests are spoiled for choice when it comes to swimming, snorkelling and kayaking hotspots.
Mind you, that’s if they can pull themselves away from the resort. Each of the spacious villas are designed to take in the idyllic tropical surrounds, as well as indulge in an array of six-star luxury touches -think private pools and terraces (Lagoon Villas also come with direct sea access).
Each villa also features a personal host on-hand to indulge every whim, for instance breakfast or afternoon tea served in the privacy of your own villa. Meanwhile while private dinners or luxury spa treatments at the resort’s organic spa can also be booked at the drop of a sunhat.
Speaking of resort facilities, there’s no shortage of them either. There’s a fine dining restaurant set over water serving gourmet fare with ocean views, an outdoor cinema, as well an all-inclusive main with unlimited drinks and snacks.
And if that’s not enough, there are shows and parties with a different theme every night at the nearby Kani Premium Resort.
Best of all, despite the sense of privacy and seclusion at Finolhu Villas, it’s just a 40-minute speedboat ride from the Maldives international airport.
So is it Club Med’s most lavish stay yet? We’ll let you be the judge…
