I’ve been going to Troncones Beach for 3 years now. It’s not pristine and soft white beaches but that’s what I love about it. The waves can be high, the beach rocky but it’s a wonderful escape to unwind and really experience nature. Being between the mountains and the ocean means the storm watching is spectacular!

If you ever visit Troncones, do yourself a BIG favor and visit here: http://www.edenmex.com

If you call boogie boarding, kayaking, surfing, biking, yoga classes, pickleball, birdwatching, paddleboarding , fabulous dining, dancing…doing nothing…maybe I’ll find time to lie in a hammock here (in Troncones) one day. Guess I’m just not a beach bum!!

I’m with you when it comes to Bacalar – it seems to me like maybe this is what Tulum was like 20 (or is it only 10?) years ago. Isla Holbox is on my list of places to visit, and this post scores it yet another point.
