C/O Berlin is an exceptional photography gallery housed in Amerika Haus. Designed by architect Bruno Grimmek in 1956, the building is an icon.
Bar 3 in Mitte is a little gem – I’m a big fan of the circular bar, music, and the mix of creatives.
I love both Vitra and Artek, so the joint concept store, Vitra loves Artek in the Bikini Berlin mall, is a match made in design heaven. The Arkonaplatz flea market is also full of great design finds, and less chaotic than the karaoke/flea market, Mauerpark.
Nothing says Berlin more than Tempelhofer Feld on a Sunday afternoon. From families grilling to kiteboarders to urban gardeners, you’ll find it all here at the defunct-airport-turned-park.
