Vietjet is giving Aussies yet another reason to book a trip to Vietnam.
Aussies looking to lock in a Southeast Asian getaway just got the green light, with Vietjet announcing discounted flights across its Australian network. The budget airline’s latest Double Day promotion includes one-way economy fares from just $199, but you’ve only got three days to snap up a deal.
The routes on offer
Available to book now until 11 September, Aussies could be jetting off to Vietnam for the same price as your average weekly grocery shop. The mega flash sale includes flights from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth, with prices starting from as low as $199 one-way.

The eligible travel window runs from 10 September 2026 to 10 September 2027, excluding peak season periods and major public holidays when blackout dates apply.
In exciting news, travellers booking from 10 January 2027 onwards can also choose to fly out from the new Western Sydney International Airport in Luddenham, around 45 minutes west of the city’s CBD.
All discounted flights fly direct to Ho Chi Minh City, one of Vietnam’s most iconic destinations. From here, the entire country is at your fingertips. Venture south to experience the Mekong on a luxurious river cruise. Heading north instead, discover the natural beauty of Northern Vietnam in places like Hanoi and Ha Long Bay.

Or stay exactly where you are, exploring everything Ho Chi Minh City has to offer – from bustling street food stalls and local markets to historic war sites and sacred temples.
Whether you sip cocktails at a rooftop bar, meander along the Saigon River or simply kick back and enjoy the sweet life at a five-star stay, there’s no shortage of ways to spend your days.
While the sale is limited to Eco fares only (Vietjet’s economy class), those who prefer a few extra comforts aren’t entirely left out. As part of its Double Day promotion, Vietjet is offering a 22 per cent discount on all Deluxe fares, too.

It’s not exactly business class, but the higher-tier fare comes with a few worthwhile extras. By booking Deluxe, passengers get meals and drinks onboard, the option to select seats, and up to 40 kilograms of checked baggage, plus 10 kilograms of carry-on for all Australian routes.
How to book
With only three days to secure Vietjet’s bargain airfares, it’s best to get in quick – and know exactly what’s required to score a deal.

Discounted flights from Australia to Ho Chi Minh City are available to book now until 2am (AEST) on 11 September, and can be made via Vietjet’s website or mobile app.
Prices start at $199 (excluding taxes and fees), but are subject to availability and may vary depending on your departure city. Promotional fares are for one-way, economy class tickets only, with return flights charged separately.
If you’d rather take advantage of the sale’s Deluxe discount, you’ll receive 22 per cent off base fares by using the promo code SALE99 at checkout. Finally, it’s important to remember that all sale tickets are capped, meaning they will sell out – so it’s first in, best dressed.
