The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise is set to open the most beautiful wellness facility in Canada.

The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise is one of Canada’s most iconic hotels. Nestled in Banff National Park, it’s a destination in its own right, boasting idyllic Canadian Rockies views and an iconic lakefrontage. But the much-loved accommodation is set to draw even more appeal with the opening of its luxurious new thermal baths experience – BASIN Glacial Waters.

Responding to the growing demand for wellness travel, BASIN Glacial Waters is set to be a destination wellness centre focused on holistic, sensory and nature-inspired experiences.  Inspired by glacial water, air and elemental purity, the indoor-outdoor thermal bathing facility will be located inside the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise and offer stunning vistas of the iconic turquoise lake and mountains.

The project, two decades in the making, was brought to life by renowned architect Matteo Thun, celebrated for his ecologically sensitive designs. Drawing inspiration from its glacial and alpine surroundings, the project features natural materials such as stone and sustainably sourced Canadian wood. The result is a contemporary space that seamlessly blends into the environment.

Visitors can indulge in three hours of rejuvenation, alternating between traditional Finnish and bio saunas, and dipping into pools of varying temperatures, including a reflexology pool and a waterfall feature pool. Additional amenities include an ice-temperature lounge, a cold bucket drop, a Himalayan salt wall, and a hot stone room designed for deep relaxation.

Complementing the wellness journey is the exclusive Glacier Lounge, accessible only to spa guests. Here, visitors can enjoy a curated menu of freshly prepared small dishes alongside an innovative selection of nootropics and adaptogens.
